Reading with music

Following up on Nikita’s post:

I often listen to music when I’m reading. I find it relaxing, and there are actually several CDs that I find fantastic for this sort of thing. Phillips’ Set Your Life to Music series has three titles that are a great addition to any CD loving bookie: Beethoven for Book Lovers, Bach for Book Lovers and Brahms for Booklovers. These are gentle companions that create soothing “background” music for your reading experience.

While I will read anywhere, in any circumstances, I love coming home on a rainy night like tonight, lighting a candle, putting on of these CDs on my stereo, and cuddling up with a good book on my sofa. I also have a fireplace, and if it’s cold enough, I’ll light that too. This is my perfect reading experience!

What’s your favorite place to read? Do you listen to music when you do it?
